This shows you how games are being rated in their respective categories.

Graphics: Graphics are based on visual presentation. Factors include the awe factor, the cleanliness of both gameplay graphics, as well as cut scenes. Part of the score is based on how the game looks for its respective system.

Sound: Sound is based on the quality of all audio in the game. Sound Effects, Music and Voice Overs (if any) are what is being judged here. What really counts here is the clarity, quality, and realism

Playability: Playability is based on how playable the game is? One aspect based on the controlling of the game, as well as actual gameplay. The key factors for the controlling is how the game controls. Key elements include Menu(s)and game controls. The other aspect is mainly focused on the storyline, the characters, as well as interactions between the two. At times some games may have no storyline, and makes perfect sense. Ultimatley its based on how the game plays, and how its played.

Bang For Your Buck: The bang for your buck is based on two main factors. Is the game going to stay in your collection, or will it be a title you'll trade in or sell. The second factor is the value. Value will vary depending on condition, location, age, as well as MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) for current games. Older games will be based on either value charged at a used game store, or eBay. Some games are worth the money, other games aren't worth it even if we were paid to play it.

All categories are ranked on a 0-5 scale with 5 being the best. The overall score is based on additional factors besides the guidelines posted above. The overall score is not an average of categories mentioned above.

The table below lists what it the overall ranking means.
A score of 5.0 indicates that this title kicks ass, but these are RARELY given out.
A score of 4.0 - 4.9 indicates greatness. The game is great, but there could be a couple minor problems that keep this game from perfection
A score of 3.0 - 3.9 indicates that the game is tolerable. There are a few problems, but otherwise its a game thats more likely to hit or miss depending on the gamer
A score of 2.0 - 2.9 indicates an ok game. It's one of those games that more than likely, only hard core fans of the series, or genre may be interested in
A score of 1.0 - 1.9 indicates the game just sucks. If you paid money for it, then you probably lost money and that we are questioning our own ethics for reviewing a game of this calibur
A score of 0.0 - 0.9 This game deserves to die a slow painful death, and we felt like we died slow painful deaths playing through it. This's games life support system was unplugged a long time ago.
